Excellent! We got the chai lattes, avocado toast, egg bagel and some pastries/ cookies. Everything was amazing and staff were friendly. We will definitely be back!!
Still my favorite coffee shop in Truckee. Came in for a lox & bagel and was pleasantly surprised. Very fresh bagel, and the lox was perfect. I was greeted friendly when I went to the counter. Customer service here is top-notch. Also, the seating is nice however limited during rush-hour time. Especially when high school kids get out of school. What I ordered: Lox and as bagel (add on extra lox) The onions, capers, cream, cheese, and lox or traditional, some thin sliced avocado was added on top of it. It's the first time I've had avocado with lox & bagel. It actually complemented it really well. The staff is really nice. The owner takes pride in making sure his customers are happy. Just a great place to grab a wonderful roast, coffee, lots of beautiful desserts, great breakfast, and lunch items. I think the cut off time for lunch is 1:30 PM so make sure you get it before then.
I like Zuri, I usually grab something when shopping at New Moon - passing through on way to / from rural home. I can't comment on coffee, I don't drink coffee. Tea selection is decent. Food is good. Staff can be hit and miss. First time I had a bagel with butter, it was made panini style - squished :). Good, but before I unwrapped it, I thought I got half a bagel.
Wow, maybe the best drip coffee I've ever had! Bagel sandwiches are great too. Lots of great looking pastries as well that I didn't have a chance to try.
Zuri Coffee was very busy on a Friday (late) afternoon! The interior had a cozy ambiance, with a cool mural on the back wall and rustic decor. There was a pretty long line to order at the counter, which gave us time to look at the surprisingly large menu. We also had time to drool over the pasties in the display case, which looked incredible! I ended up ordering the Avocado Toast and a Berry Turnover to share with my friend. Service was understandably not the fastest because they were slammed. Unfortunately, my Avocado Toast was a little disappointing. The portion size was good and the avocado tasted fresh, but the proportion of the other ingredients was way off. It was supposed to have buffalo mozzarella, but the tiny pieces they put on top were definitely not enough. The heap of greens was also too much. However, my friends' sandwiches looked way better, so maybe I just ordered the wrong item. The Berry Turnover was delicious - perfect flakey dough, tasty berry filling. Would return to try a sandwich and more pastries!
What a gem, this place was so nice and quaint. The Yelp reviews did not disappoint. I ordered a steamy decaf Americano with oat milk and a yummy gluten-free breakfast sandwich. I also purchased one of those huge cinnamon rolls for my hubby. He raved about it. The owner was so kind; he gave me a bag of his new vegan granola recipe. I tried it when I returned home and it was amazing! I can't wait to return on my next trip to Truckee.
Was my favorite coffee shop in truckee. Still is my favorite coffee shop in truckee. The coffee is great, the savory food is great. Pastries are amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff that has been there for a while. What more could you ask for? We try to come in for a 2pm coffee break from work when we can. Order my chocolate croissant (one of the best that I've had). I don't like apple pastries but their apple strudel is prob the only one I can eat. They have soy milk too. Please don't ever take this option away. Tastes so much better in a latte than other alternatives. Protein rich and gut friendly for lactose intolerant folks. The owners are very nice ppl too. Bonus!
Zuri is by far one of my favorite coffee and pastry spots in Lake Tahoe! I said it before, and I'll say it again get the apfelstrudel!!!! This is my favorite place to get it because it's made perfectly!!! I always get a Carmel latte to accompany which is the best breakfast pairing! I always leave Zuri feeling completely satisfied and ready to shred the slopes!
